When Jenny and Steven reached out to me to inquire about planning their wedding at Gloria Ferrer in Sonoma, I was so excited! Gloria Ferrer has always been one of my favorite wine country wedding venues. I love sparkling wines (and Gloria’s wines specifically) but also love the surrounding scenery, the people and the views are just breathtaking. The venue also includes so much, it makes it a more affordable option in the wine country.
Jenny & Steven quickly became a favorite couple of mine. They were so much fun to plan with and truly so excited, that it made planning a breeze. We started the evening off with a ceremony in the Pavilion, overlooking the entire Sonoma Valley. The views are breathtaking, so we opted for a low semi-circle of flowers on the ground, as to not obstruct the vineyard views beyond. They love food, so menu design was a big one. They spared no expense and had a well-curated menu with all of their favorites, including a live mozzarella station during cocktail hour where the chefs from Oak Avenue Catering pulled mozzarella right in front of the guests. So fun! After that, we invited guests to the wine cave where they entered down a hallway filled with candles, lanterns and flowers. It was such a pretty walkway and let the guests know they were in for something special. I could the guests gasping as they got their first glance of the wine cave. For dinner, we serve an Italian themed family-style dinner in the wine cave, while guests were surrounded with the twinkling light from hundreds of candles. It was absolutely stunning! After dinner, the guests danced the night away in the wine cave. It might have been the perfect wine country wedding! Check out the stunning photos below to see how it all turned out!
